Mapping the Data

October 22, 2005

I am still after that flashing idea which I haven’t found for Algorithmic Composition midterm project. Actually I was reading Csound Manual the other day and then found myself in the middle of reading the electronic music history. Starting with Richard Boulanger’s interview which is the writer of the Csound Book, then to Max Matthews which is the father of the computer music and the name of the Max part of Max/Msp as I read I got more excited about the whole stuff going on.

I must admit I haven’t understand the great power of Csound until lately. It is basically a great compiler where you can learn from the basics of the synths to the infinite deepness of various of sounds and effects. The time must be invested on this software.
